The project executed by PWE was part of the significant Dhofar 50MW Wind Farm initiative. This project involved the construction of a 132 KV overhead transmission line specifically in the Fitkhit area. The client for this crucial infrastructure was Oman Electricity Transmission Company (OETC). PWE worked as a subcontractor for the main contractors, a consortium of TSK and GE.
The scope of work entrusted to PWE included both the erection of transmission towers and the stringing of conductors. This work was essential for evacuating the clean energy generated by the wind farm and integrating it into the national grid. The project highlights PWE’s direct contribution to Oman’s renewable energy sector and its sustainability goals. It demonstrates the company’s capability to work on technologically advanced and environmentally significant projects. Successfully completing this work required precision and adherence to strict technical standards. Ultimately, this project enhanced PWE’s portfolio in the specialized field of power transmission for renewable energy sources.
