The project executed by PWE was a significant high-voltage transmission line project designated as Contract 55/2017. This project involved the construction of a 400 KV Overhead Transmission Line (OHL) connecting the towns of Izki to Misfah in Oman. The client for this critical infrastructure project was the Oman Electricity Transmission Company (OETC), which is responsible for the national grid. PWE was contracted to perform the specialized work by the main contractor, SNCC (Sahel Najd Construction), a major EPC firm in the region. The scope of work for PWE specifically included both the erection of transmission towers and the stringing of high-voltage conductors. Working at the 400 KV level requires exceptional technical expertise and precision due to the immense electrical capacity and safety protocols involved. This project likely aimed to enhance the capacity, reliability, and stability of the power grid in the Ad Dakhiliyah Governorate. By successfully completing this project, PWE demonstrated its capability to handle the most technically demanding voltage tiers in Oman’s power transmission network. The project stands as a testament to the company’s role as a trusted specialist for major contractors on the nation’s key energy infrastructure initiatives. Ultimately, this contribution helps facilitate the efficient and reliable delivery of electricity to communities and industries across the region.
